Custom Coasters for Hotels: Small Details That Shape the Guest Experience

Custom hotel coasters for the lobby bar, guest rooms and rooftop

Guests notice the small things in a hotel. The weight of the key card, the welcome note, the glass on the bedside table. A coaster belongs in that same category: easy to overlook when it is generic, quietly memorable when it is designed for your property. Because it appears in the bar, the restaurant, the rooms and the event spaces, it is also one of the few branded items that follows guests through their whole stay.

Where coasters work in a hotel

Lobby bar and lounge

The bar is often the social heart of a hotel, and the coaster appears in almost every photo taken there. A refined version of your logo, a signature cocktail or a design that reflects the interior helps the space feel considered rather than generic.

Restaurant and breakfast room

Coasters under water glasses, wine and coffee cups carry your identity to the table without adding clutter. A calm, minimal design suits fine dining. A brighter one can work for an all-day café or breakfast service.

Guest rooms

A coaster on the desk or bedside table protects the furniture and gives you a small space to speak to guests directly. It is a natural place for Wi-Fi details, a QR code to your guest information page or a welcome line in the voice of the hotel.

Rooftops, terraces and pool bars

Outdoor spaces deserve their own personality. Many hotels give the rooftop or the pool bar a separate name and look, and a dedicated coaster design makes that identity feel complete.

Meetings, events and weddings

Conferences, product launches and weddings held at your hotel are an opportunity for special editions. Print the event name, the couple's names and date, or a co-branded design with a corporate client. Orders start at 100 coasters, so even a small event can have its own design.

What to print on a hotel coaster

  • Your logo or monogram, clean and large, for a quiet brand presence.
  • Outlet names, so each bar or restaurant has its own identity within the property.
  • A QR code to the room service menu, spa bookings, restaurant reservations or a digital guest directory.
  • Wi-Fi details, one of the most requested pieces of information in any stay.
  • A local touch, such as an illustration of the city, a regional ingredient or a line in the local language, so the coaster feels like it belongs to the place.

Keep each coaster to one main message. A guest should understand it at a glance, from a sofa or across a table.

Round or square for hotels?

Both shapes measure 93 mm across. Round coasters feel classic and suit traditional bars and lounges. Square coasters, with their rounded corners, have a more contemporary, architectural feel that works well in design-led hotels, wine bars and rooftops. Many properties use both: one shape for the bar, the other for rooms or events.

Planning orders across several outlets

Hotels and hotel groups usually need more than one design. A few habits make ordering easier:

  • List every outlet and its design. Bar, restaurant, rooms, rooftop and events, each with its own quantity.
  • Order daily-use designs in larger runs. The price per coaster drops as the quantity grows, and you can order up to 250,000 coasters.
  • Keep event designs small. Orders start at 100 coasters, so you only print what you need.
  • Plan around your calendar. Custom artwork ships within 5 working days once your file has passed our check, so allow a little extra time before events and peak season.

For group orders, recurring supply or several designs at once, request a quote and we will help you plan it.

Material and finish

Every coaster is printed in full colour on 470 g absorbent beer mat board. It lies flat, feels substantial in the hand and is made for drinks, from cold cocktails by the pool to a glass of wine in the room. If your brand uses precise colours, CMYK artwork gives the most predictable result, and our team checks every file before production.

Do you work with hotel groups?
